The Fairfield County Bank Westport Kiwanis Triathlon is a fun family friendly event open to all ability levels. The swim is point to point at beautiful Compo Beach. The shorter bike and run courses are flat through lovely Compo Beach neighborhood streets. The event is ideal for first time timers, and families wishing to race together.

Awards for age group winners and relays and post race party for everyone will be provided after the race.

Tony Trujillo will be at the race finish providing massages for all of our racers!

August 24 at 7 am. Meet at the cannons at 7 am. We will review the bike and run course biking and will discuss the swim. Please note: if you are not a Westport resident you will be asked to pay a fee to enter the Park (except on race day) or find alternative parking spots and bike to the Park. Please email me if interested to attend at pascale@trifitness.net.

September 7
9 am - 12 pm: Packet pickup at the Fairfield County Bank (20 Compo Road South, Westport CT) - map

September 8 - RACE DAY!
6:00 am: Registration and timing chips pick-up open
7:00 am: Registration and timing chips pick-up close
7:10 am: Race Director talk in front of lifeguard shack
7:20 am: National Anthem
7:30 am: Race starts with the first wave of swimmers
8:30 am: Breakfast on the beach and massages
8:45 am: First results posted
9:15 am: Awards ceremony by the Compo Beach Pavillion

Wave 1 - Green caps - 16 - 44 years old
Wave 2 - Blue caps - 50+ and relays
Wave 3 - Pink caps - 45 - 49 years old and 15 and under

There is a no-refund policy for the race.

Weather Policy:
Races are rain or shine unless we determine that race conditions are dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend. If the race is canceled there will be no refunds. This position is consistent with USAT recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sport of triathlon. In the event of inclement weather, Acts of God, or unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid including other amenities paid for such as t-shirts, insurance, and online administrative fees. All fees collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies.
