Trifitness Programs & Events
Trifitness provides triathlon training classes and triathlon coaching, indoor cycling, road cycling, run classes, swim classes, kid's fitness camps and personal training, and general fitness for all ages in Connecticut. Training with us is both enjoyable and motivational - you'll achieve results you will be proud of, make new friends and find a fuller, more productive life. Since 2001 we have worked with thousands of people, many with limited or no athletic experience. We helped hundreds through their first triathlon and many have gone on to become Age Group winners at local, national and even the international level.

After some major medical surgeries last year, my triathlon fitness level was back at square 1. However, with your individualized training program, not only did I finish my 1st half ironman race this June, but I also beat my A goal by over an hour and outpaced my shorter distance times in all three disciplines! The varied workouts kept training interesting. Your flexible style allowed for me to balance training with life and family. Thank you for helping me achieve a life goal. I couldn’t have done it without you, coach!Anne H.
The training is going very well. I really feel like I am getting better on the bike and I still have to remind myself that I am actually a swimmer sometimes!! There was a time when I though I would never be able to swim. I could not have done it without you and your coaches.Lisa
Just wanted to let you know I completed the 100 mile ride in the Connecticut Challenge this past weekend. Thanks for getting me back into cycling shape over the winter. I hit the road in much better shape than in the past as a result of my training at Tri Fitness. Your an excellent coach and motivator, and I'm looking forward to working out at the studio next winter!Jim
I completed the Greenwich Tri in 1:45. Thanks all so much for all your help in swimming. It really made a difference! Gianna

“We are very happy to have Jason Mager as part of our team at Tri Fitness. He has a passion for triathlon and coaching other athletes to help them reach their potential. Jason will be leading some of our indoor Cycling Sessions this Fall and Winter and will also be helping with our Swim Clinics and Youth Triathlon Camps, as he has done in past years.
He is certified as both a USA Cycling Level 3 Coach and also a Swim Speed Secrets Coach (personally trained by Olympian, Sheila Taormina,) and is currently working towards completing both the USAT Level 1 coaching certification as well as the USMS Levels 1 & 2 coaching certifications prior to the start of the 2017 race season.
Jason tried his first triathlon 4 years ago at a local sprint race. His bike fell apart half-way through the race and he ended up running the remaining 5 miles of the bike course bare foot while pushing/carrying his bike. He eventually finished the race - with black, blistered and cut up feet, but also a smile - and was instantly hooked on the sport.
While mostly competing at the Sprint and Olympic distances he has had multiple overall podium finishes as well as Age Group wins. This past race season, Jason was the 2016 Niantic Bay Overall winner and also competed at the USAT Age Group Nationals in Omaha where he qualified for the 2017 Age Group World Championships in Rotterdam, at both the Sprint and Olympic distances. For 2017 he is very excited about trying a few races at the 70.3 distance.
